This treasure hunt was not just a one-time event. Our Guardian Agents are checking and replenishing the treasure as needed. The treasure chest has been stashed and is ready for any Agent Family to discover whenever they have the time and willingness to hunt for it!

Stashed within a 2 hour drive of downtown Chicago, this treasure is on public land. It is accessible for all family members capable of a 3 mile hike from the nearest parking area.

WARNING: The path to the treasure includes several climbs and descents on both natural and manmade structures. Take your time and watch your step to avoid injury. Be prepared for any and all weather conditions! Check the forecast, prep accordingly, and have your wits about you!

“As you may have seen on IG we visited the treasure today. It’s been an icy winter and we didn’t feel like we could climb that last climb with the ice!
Trails were in good shape, though some parts are pretty muddy and there is some lingering ice.
No closed trails or changed key markers.
Also, I don’t mind if you tell any Chicago people that they can reach out on IG if they have questions finding it!

The Prairie State is the setting,

For the next step in vetting,

A search for only the brave,

A life of adventure you must crave.

Near the banks of a river,

Nature sure does deliver,

Picturesque sights that behave,

In one word, concave.

With so many canyons,

You may need a companion,

To see them all in one day,

Such an alluring display.

A Tale of hunger haunts this ground,

For when the Peoria came around,

The Ottawa avenged a killing,

Oh the legend is quite chilling.

The Headquarters is where,

You can learn more about the despair,

And begin today’s journey,

Come prepared and don’t worry.

Grab a map if you must,

Use your intellect and trust,

Your Agent training along the way,

Has prepared you well for this day.

If you keep a sharp eye,

On the markings you walk by,

You’ll head toward the location,

Of DB’s donation.

Follow the signs for the views,

So much joy you will ooze,

Once you reach the platform,

That the Eagles often swarm.

After gazing a while,

And cracking a smile,

Make your way down,

The next staircases found.

Along the lumber you’ll walk,

Til’ you reach the bottom, then stop,

The next turn leads to the flat,

Follow the path to the Wildcat.

Round a corner you’ll turn,

Toward the treasure you yearn,

Right here is a key marker,

Where your journey becomes darker.

Enter the shade of the trees,

Whose roots do now seize,

The opportunity to act,

As steps that look stacked.

Off the main trail you’ll go,

Up the hill, to and fro.

Steep now the climb,

Toward the view that almost rhymes,

With the overlook you just saw,

Nearly just as much awe.

Keep on going to the top,

Until you reach it, don’t stop.

Look out toward the Illinois,

Take it in and enjoy,

Then pivot on a dime,

180 degrees, and pause time.

Study the ground you see,

You may need to get on a knee,

Once you’ve found the spot,

Where this old one now rot.

A perfect cave formed right here,

Look in now to appear,

A case filled with ammunition,

Of another successful mission.
