Treasure Hunt - San Francisco California

CURRENT STATUS:

ACTIVE

This treasure hunt was not just a one-time event. Our Guardian Agents are checking and replenishing the treasure as needed.  The treasure chest has been stashed and is ready for any Agent Family to discover whenever they have the time and willingness to hunt for it!

Hey Adventure Agent families! Agent Strongman here.

Stashed within a 30 minute drive of the San Francisco International Airport, this treasure hunt is on public land.  It is accessible for all family members capable of a 2 mile hike from the nearest parking area.

Now, this is not the norm for these treasure hunts… but. Due to the potential confusion that could arise from the multiple different trails and parking areas at the park, I will be giving away the exact starting location of this hunt. Also, our main concern is the safety of Agent families while on these hunts, so we don’t want you hiking unexpected miles.

Now that you’re aware of the preliminary details, let's get to the good stuff… the riddle!!

Study the riddle closely.  Screenshot it, copy it, download it, do what you must!  Just be sure you have access to it while you’re on the hunt (there may be stretches of this journey that put you out of cell service).

Good luck Agents!

TRAIL REPORT: March 7th, 2022 🌲

Latest intel from Agents 13, Disorderly, Marshmallow, Mountain Lion, Luigi and Nugget (reporting from San Francisco, CA):

“Things are good here, we went and did a treasure run today.

The bridge that had previously been washed out has been fixed!”

This means once Agents find the treasure, they can choose to return to their vehicle either by following the path they came down, or by making the loop. Either way provides safe passage!

FULL SAN FRANCISCO RIDDLE

To the city by the bay,

Dreamers flocked back in the day,

Many in search of a wage,

When gold was all the rage.

Now a new treasure lies just below,

Along the 280 you can go,

To reach the forest where this new chase,

Takes place in the woodland space.

With beautiful trails galore,

There’s so much for you in store,

Where you begin will be key,

Or you’ll get lost amongst the trees.

Huddart is the area,

Where you may flirt with hysteria,

If you find the hidden chest,

Let’s see if you pass this test.

At the Oak Picnic gravel,

Onto a certain trail you must travel,

While either direction will lead you to it,

Choose the “right” one, and commit.

Up the hill lead your troops,

Follow the signs for the Redwood loop,

Counterclockwise round the bends,

Be on the lookout for a few new friends.

Of many sizes and shapes they come,

Signs are posted giving the names of some,

But there’s one you need to look out for,

It signals an area to explore.

Dudley lies across a bridge,

But be careful here, not to infringe,

As much as you can preserve the scenery,

Don’t uproot the living greenery.

Somewhere hidden on the hill,

Lies the reason for the thrill,

Surrounded by the Redwood bark,

It’s in a cave that's kinda dark.

Don’t be afraid of the slope,

With a stumble or slip, I’m sure you can cope,

It will all be worth it after you find,

DB’s coins, they’re one of a kind!
