Treasure Hunt - Orlando Florida

CURRENT STATUS:

inactive

The treasure hidden in Orlando Florida is currently missing. It is our understanding that the treasure box was moved from its hiding place and we have been unable to locate it. We are in contact with local Agents and doing our best to either locate the original stash of treasure or replace it. We will update this page as soon as we can with further updates.

Hey Adventure Agent families! Agent Strongman here.

Stashed within a 30 minute drive from the Orlando International Airport, this treasure is on public land.  It is accessible for all family members capable of a 3 mile round-trip hike from the nearest parking area.

Now, this is not the norm for these treasure hunts… but. Due to the potential confusion that could arise from the multiple different ways to access the trail described in the riddle, I will be giving away the exact starting location of this hunt. Also, our main concern is the safety of Agent families while on these hunts, so we don’t want you hiking the wrong trails in the Florida heat.

THE STARTING POINT:

Split Oak Forest Wildlife and Environmental Area -Entrance and Parking

12175 Clapp Simms Duda Rd, Orlando, FL 32832

WARNING: The park where the treasure hunt will take place has a strict not pets policy!

WARNING: Prep for any and all weather/trail conditions! Check the forecast, prep accordingly, and have your wits about you!

Now that you’re aware of the preliminary details, let's get to the good stuff… the riddle!!

-

Study the riddle closely.  Screenshot it, copy it, download it, do what you must!  Just be sure you have access to it while you’re on the hunt (there may be stretches of this journey that put you out of cell service).

Good luck Agents!

TRAIL REPORT: April 7th, 2022 🐢

Latest intel from Agent Ranger (reporting from on the ground in Orlando, FL):

“We went out to Split Oak Forest to check on the DB Treasure and it was a beautiful day.

Had some new friends come with us. Agent Reba and Agent Cash. They are my new 4 legged agent friends.
The trail was beautiful. The treasure box was all good.

We had so much fun. Agent Cash and Agent Reba loved to sniff all around the trail.

We will report back on the next check up adventure.

Agent Ranger out.”

FULL ORLANDO FLORIDA RIDDLE

The center of the Sunshine State,
Known as home to many-a-lake,
Is the next stop on this chase,
For the treasure around the states.

Here there are no difficult climbs,
Only flat trails that curve and wind,
It’s the wetlands you must navigate,
Upon your journey to graduate.

Into a class of Agent elite,
Able to withstand the Florida heat,
If you are to be bestowed,
Use these words, I have written below.

Notable for the giant “Split”,
The namesake of this park is legit,
2 centuries old and continuing to live,
This great Oak, is the definition of outlive.

Begin my friend at its lot,
Wooden posts and rails of plenty it’s got,
Park your vehicle here and pack,
Your adventure bag, with water and snack.

Through the grass you’ll step,
Look for the signs and prep,
Follow the 1, to the 2, to the 3, then stop,
Here’s where you’ll need to turn the clock.

Round the corner past 3 you’ll turn,
To the right, in a clockwise churn,
Once reaching the pond you’ll go on through,
Counter clockwise ‘round the water’s a clue.

Circle the pond and look,
For a secret way, the one I took,
A mound of sand will give away,
The position of this route, now on your way.

At the split you’ll head toward,
A slight uphill and look out for,
Two big bushes at the top,
So close now, but you better stop.

From here you’ve got a view of thee,
Ripples upon the miniature sea,
Straight ahead, along the bank is your prize,
Camouflaged amongst the landscape it lies.

To locate it, get down low,
Really study the ground below,
Under a thick green plant, it is covered,
Waiting patiently, to be discovered.
